Dr. George T. Roberts, O.D.

Dr. Roberts, a second generation optometrist, graduated from Binghamton Central High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts at Ithaca College and Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. While studying at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Roberts received several awards for academic and clinical excellence. He is listed as an Honor Student and Noteworthy Practitioner by Beta Sigma Kappa, International Optometric Honor Society. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, a Fellow of the Essilor Academy, a member of the American Optometric Association Contact Lens Section, Sports Vision Section and the New York State Optometric Association.

Dr. Roberts is listed in Who's Who in Optometry and America's Top Optometrists. He has served as the official optometrist for the Binghamton Mets, Binghamton Senators, Binghamton Junior Senators, Binghamton University Bearcats, BCC Hornets, Dick's Sporting Goods Open, The Tri-Cities Opera and the Binghamton Rangers, Binghamton Icemen, The B.C. Open and BC Jets.

Dr. Roberts and his wife Kathi, the Practice Director at Roberts Eyecare Associates, reside in Vestal and on Hilton Head Island, SC.

Dr.Subadra Arunagirinathan (Dr. Arun) O.D., Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry - Director of the Dry Eye Center

Dr. Arun attended University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada and graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Science. She received her Doctor of Optometry designation from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society in all four years. Dr. Arun not only excelled academically but also held various leadership positions at school such as Class President, SGA Vice-President and Beta Sigma Kappa Treasurer. In recognition for her outstanding leadership role she received the American Optometric Association Student Leadership Award.

She gained extensive clinical skills from rotations in Cornea and Contact Lens, Pediatric Optometry/Binocular Vision, Primary Care and Low Vision Rehabilitation/Geriatric. Her clinical skills have been further enhanced by her experience in a private practice setting and in a multidisciplinary disease site.

Dr.Kristy Dean O.D.

Dr. Dean graduated from the State University of New York, Albany, at Salus University, formally The Pennsylvania College of Optometry, with a Doctor of Optometry Degree. While at Salus University, she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Albany and an Associate in Liberal Arts degree from Broome Community College.

Dr. Dean completed externships with honors at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, the Wilkes Barre Veterans Administration Hospital, and the Northeastern Eye Institute in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dean is a member of Phi Delta Epsilon, American Optometric Student Association, and the Student Optometric Service to Humanity providing eye care to residents of Cap Haitian, Haiti. She has also served as an Eyewear Consultant.

Dr. Dean has been a lifelong resident of the Southern Tier growing up in Whitney Point.

Dr. Angela Marx, O.D. - Director of Pediatric Services

Dr. Marx graduated, Magna cum Laude, from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Biophysics. Her Doctor of Optometry was granted by the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Salus University with Honors. Her memberships include Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and the American Optometric Student Association. While at Salus University, she performed internships at the Baltimore Vision Fitness Center, Wilkes-Barre VA Hospital, Northeastern Eye Institute and the William Feinbloom Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Marx is loves working with children as demonstrated by her volunteer efforts with the Lions Club Special Olympics program, membership in the Optometric Association for the Support of Children, and long time umpire for Girls Fast Pitch Softball.

Dr. Marx is in charge of Pediatric Services at Roberts Eyecare Associates.

Dr. Kendall Willden, O.D.

Dr. Willden graduated from Southern Utah University and Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee. He is a member College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) and the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association. His experience includes Ocular Disease with Pre/Post Operative Care at the Eye Institute of Utah and Primary Care at a private practice in Utah. Dr. Willden also taught at the Ophthalmic Optics and Edging Lab at Southern College of Optometry.

Dr. Willden is active in the community participating in the Lions Club, Cubmaster/Den Leader with the Boys Scouts of America, and teaching Sunday school at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. He enjoys fishing, camping and hiking. Dr. Willden recently moved to Oneonta where resides with his wife and three children.

Dr.  Edgar Ekure, O.D., M.S.,F.A.A.O.

Roberts Eyecare Associates would like to welcome Dr.  Edgar Ekure to our Practice.  Dr. Edgar Ekure graduated from the University of Benin in Nigeria, where he obtained his Bachelors and Doctor of Optometry degrees with honors. He further obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Vision Research from Nova Southeastern University where he excelled, becoming the first graduate clinical vision research student to obtain the president's research grant award for his seminal study on: The Global summation of Radial Frequency Patterns and the Effect of transient glare on Shape discrimination. Dr, Ekure is a published researcher and has presented lectures and posters at both national and international scientific conferences. His Clinical interest is in primary care optometry with emphasis on contact lens practice, glaucoma and neuro-optometry.  Dr. Edgar Ekure has been practicing since 1992. Dr. Ekure is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
